CDM Smith, a Cambridge-based engineering and construction firm, made a $5,000 donation to the Malden Teen Enrichment Center.

MTEC, which recently celebrated its one year anniversary, will use the funds to defray costs for programs and tutoring that will benefit Malden students.

CDM Smith Director Bob Button said the company had been looking for a way to give back to the Malden community as they have worked in the city repairing streets and sidewalks this past year.

"The MTEC Board and I are grateful for the generosity of CDM Smith," said Greg Lucey, president of the MTEC Board of Directors.
