12th Annual Winterball Baseball Game
Winterball is being held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Maplewood Park in Malden at 11AM - snow or shine.
Winterball is an annual winter baseball game played in December in Boston by local baseball players. The game is partnered with Toys for Tots and the United States Marines, requiring each participant to bring a toy for a child in need. In other words, all players need to do to play is bring an unwrapped toy. Attendance will be large, so it is more about charity, hanging out with like-minded baseballers, and getting some at bats and innings. The colder and snowier the better!
The 2012 game will feature the Baystate Blizzard (those aged 18+) vs. Atlantic Frost (those aged 30+).
The game starts at 11AM prompt, and players will be there for batting practice at 9:30AM. Toys for Toys and/or our US Military will be there to collect toys - so be generous!
