Why Must Things Change?

    It's bad enough that Facebook makes changes for me without my consent, traffic lights never ask my opinion about green to red time duration and the earth spins on it's axis without so much as a by-your-leave. Now I awake to a new Patch format. I'm not happy.      
     The new format is slicker than goose grease, I'll give them that. It's just that it worked perfectly fine before. Is this change for change sake or are there embedded doodads in the new Patch that allows them to gauge my mood based on how hard I click the mouse buttons?      
     Why must things change? I already miss the old Patch format. I also miss being rapped in the knuckles with a ruler by teachers, muddy streets and the Chicken Pox.     
     If Patch insists on making changes then it should solicit it's readers for suggestions. I'd like a Shenanigans button that I could click on when I see comments from readers that have no basis in reality or a Shock button which allows readers to send an electric shock through the keyboard to other Patch users who post ridiculousness.      
     Anyway Patch, congratulations on your new look. Can't wait for Patch 3.25 or whatever is next.
