Police Action Turns Violent As Occupy Boston Protesters Are Arrested

"Occupy Boston" protesters were , but, despite the openly stated intentions of protestors to only passively resist their evacuation, a number of officers were seen using what appeared to be excessive force against them.

As activists locked arms in a show of peaceful civil disobedience, officers dressed in all-black quickly surrounded, slowly pushed and - some, but not all - employed aggressive physical force.

Malden Cross Country Sweeps Somerville High

in both their boys’ and girls’ cross country races against Somerville High School, powering the Golden Tornados to a sweep over the Highlanders Wednesday afternoon at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House course in Somerville.

“We knew it was going to be a tough meet,” Somerville coach Charlie Tesch said. “We knew that they were good, and it was an outside chance for us to get them.”

Police Nab Alleged Mugger as he Runs Past Headquarters

A Saugus man was robbery Friday morning, after an officer said he witnessed the crime and pursued the suspect on foot through downtown Malden.

Youssef Elketebi, 18, allegedly gave chase down Exchange Street after a witnesses alerted the officer – who was responding to an unrelated motor vehicle accident – about the ongoing crime.
