Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Middlesex County this Weekend

State Police announce upcoming sobriety check.

Massachusetts State Police will set up a sobriety checkpoint someplace in Middlesex County this weekend.

The checkpoint will be operated at varied hours on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, and the vehicles selected will not be arbitrary, according to State Police.

Sobriety checkpoints aim to strengthen the public's awareness of the importance of removing drivers who operate under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The advance notice is to minimize inconvenience to drivers.
