I am not able to listen in on the chat today. But, I would like to know what can be done to help the principal from the Linden School to hire more custodians. The school in general could use a good scrubbing & also the bathrooms really need to be cleaned hourly. Thank you...

Is there any plan to increase parking around the high school -- maybe a classy-looking garage in the old Ruderman's building? It would be helpful to Malden High, Malden Public Library - which legally only has 5 regular and 2 handicapped spaces -and because it's in a historic location will never improve, Last but not least, the proposed 6,000 seat baseball stadium, which definitely needs more parking for games and concerts.

The salemwood school is a mess. There is one bathroom open for girls and one for boys. It doesnt get cleaned all day and by the end of the day it smells so bad my kids wont go to the bathroom. They only have one working water fountain too. Outside It is a mess because kids dont get a snack until they are walking out the doors after school so the rubbish is everywhere. Does this seem right to you? Whatever happened to having a police officer at the schools like the Dare program.

First of all, this is awesome. Communications thank you Mayor Christensen. I have an issue that is going on. Eastern Bus which is a school bus #167 parks on the corner of Acorn Street for 2-5 hrs. I did call the Malden Police and he was very helpfull and understanding but this is legall as it stands. Now why should we have to look at a school bus which takes up 4 parking spots and is Unattended. As third generation Taxpayer I feel that Eastern should be taking their busses back to their own Yards or rent a lot in Malden. Revere and Chelsea and Medford do not allow thgis. Neither do the bus companies. Eastern Bus is using City property on our dime and all to save a gallon of deisel fuel. Now as you know from Acorn Court to Main Street there are no driveways. Bad for Bellrock Bussiness and bad for we the residents. Thank You Mr Mayor.

Hi David, I was wondering if you tried contacting Eastern Bus themselves? Get the license plate and speak to a live body over there...might get you somewhere...

Yes I did Liz and they dont seem to care. They are saving money by doing this but we are the ones that have nowhere to park for 5 hours straight. The Malden Police officer was very understanding and I think he also made a call. The bus hasnt been on the street but around the corner on Main Street. Liz thank you so much for your concern .
