Five Things: A Bruins Legend Comes to Town

1) More great weather

If the National Weather Service is to be believed, today’s weather will make the previous good weather look like the start of a Bulwer-Lytton novel. Expect lots of sunshine and a high in the upper 70’s.

2) New station in the offing?

After last year’s intense discussion about a new east side fire station, things have been awful quiet on that front. That is, until , when Mayor Gary Christenson said . Christenson was cautious about sharing too much detail, but the city’s looking at the language needed for a purchase and sale agreement for property.

3) It’s gonna be a two fist pump night

Want to watch the Bruins game in style? Then join long-time Bruins favorite Rene Rancourt at John Brewer’s Tavern. The man, the myth, the mustache will perform the national anthem before the 9 p.m. game begins.

4) Linden is the free square

There’s fun to be had at the tonight at 6 p.m.. Malden Public Schools’ Title I program is hosting for families.

5) Hooray for the arts

at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Join the group in the library’s Maccaro Room as special guest CD Collins and Heidi Fenderson perform a combination of music and spoken-word poetry.
