Around the Region: Somerville Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested, New Boutique Opens in Arlington

Somerville Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in New Hampshire: The suspect in the Saturday morning robbery of Citizens Bank in Union Square was arrested early Tuesday morning at a Red Roof Inn in Salem, N.H., Somerville Police announced Tuesday morning.

The suspect had already served time in federal prison for a previous bank robbery, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. The suspect, Michael Tucker, 45, was identified from the Citizens Bank surveillance photo by Westwood Police—he had been caught on video allegedly stealing lottery tickets from a Shell gas station, according to Westwood Police.

New Boutique Opens in Arlington: Arlington Centered, a new boutique from the owners of Davis Squared in Somerville, has opened for business in Arlington Center. The “fun and funky” gift shop at 487 Massachusetts Ave., the recently vacated Main Event Tuxedo spot, opened its doors Saturday, Sept. 29, according to its website and Facebook page.

City of Boston Employee Charged with Child Pornography: James Mansfield, 47 of Charlestown was arrested on Friday and charged with possession of child pornography.

According to BPD News, his arrest came after an Internet investigation revealed Mansfield was actively engaging in graphically sexual chats and exchanging photographs of boys in various stages of undress. Boston Police executed a search warrant at Mansfield’s home and discovered evidence on his personal computer.
