The Immigrant Theater Group from the Immigrant Learning Center in Malden will perform a one-act play based on Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman. Fleischman's book tells the story of a blighted neighborhood inhabited by many immigrants that is transformed into a functional community through a shared garden.
Each term, students in the Immigrant Theater Program at The Immigrant Learning Center, Inc. (ILC) choose a theme and create an original play that expresses their experience as immigrants and refugees.
The stories in Seedfolks combined with the personalities of ILC students to create the performance Seed Folks of Malden.
