Malden DPW Seeking Holiday Tree Donations

The city is asking Maldonians to donate a holiday tree that will be set up near City Hall.

The Malden Department of Public Works is looking to residents to donate a holiday tree that can be set up at City Hall this year.

"It has long been a Malden tradition to have a resident donate the Holiday Remembrance Trees that are displayed in Malden Square," reads a city press statement. "Due to the continued renovation work being done on Pleasant Street, there will likely be just one tree installed at the City Hall location this year."

Someone from the DPW will cut down the slected tree the week of Thanksgiving.

Residents interested in donating a 20-plus foot tall spruce or pine tree should contact DPW Director Bob Knox via email at atrknox@cityofmalden.org.
