How Do We Love Thee, Malden? Let's Count The Ways

Add your favorite things about the city to our incomplete list.

Valentine's Day doesn't just have to be about couples and candy.  It's a love holiday, and we all know there's lots to love about Malden.

To start, there's:

  1. The Convenience Of It All: It's great to be able to take the Orange Line into Boston in about 10 minutes.
  2. Multi-Culturalism On A UN Level: Malden Square's burgeoning restaurant scene offers Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian, Ethiopian, Moroccan, Vietnamese, Irish, Indian, Arabic and good old American steak tip cuisine. How many other cities can say that?
  3. This is where you come in!  What do you love about Malden?

Can we get to 10 things we love about the city?  20?

Leave your answer in the comments section.  Let's give Malden the valentine it deserves!

Delightful, beautiful birds of all kinds: woodpeckers, titmice, black-capped chickadees, juncos, finches, and more!

Malden does have some cool housing stock scattered throughout the city. A lot of it is concentrated in the West End but there are some cool row houses around the downtown area. Also the bakery outlet and a fantastic meat market.

After living in Southern Caliornia (where "old" buildings are about 15 years old) I really love all the old architecture all over the city, and Boston in general.

I always feel bad for people who live in places that are limited to chain pizzerias. I still get confused when I see a Domino's car roll down the street. Who? Why? Whaaaaa?

This is a little biased since I serve on the Board of Directors for MATV, but we have an awesome local cable access station. Better yet, we have an nationally recognized, award winning local cable access station.
