Tour Description: Walk in the footsteps of H.H. Richardson, America's foremost 19th century architect. Enter the Romanesque Converse Memorial Building which houses the last Massachusetts library building that Richardson designed, and marvel at the 29 1/2 foot high white oak barrel ceiling, the white oak wainscoting, and some of the 130 Richardson-designed, Davenport-built pieces of furniture. In addition to a tour of the original building, visit the three art galleries and learn about some of the many paintings housed in the library.
All are welcome to attend this public tour led by John Tramandozzi, President of Malden Historical Society and Malden Public Library Board of Trustees.
