Waitts Mount Renovations Near Completion – Free Bootcamp Offered by 0600 Conditioning

As the grand reopening of Waitts Mount draws closer, many residents have already rediscovered the beauty of the park.  Ward 4 Councilor Jim Nestor is extremely happy with the renovations at the park and feels the residents of Malden will once they visit the park.  Jim stated ”We are in the process of planning the grand re-opening ceremonies, however the park is open and with the good weather I would love to see more people visit the park.  I think people will be surprised at how great the renovations have turned out so far.”

Jeff Barriss the owner of 0600 Conditioning, a strength and conditioning bootcamp, located on the border of Melrose and Malden at 99 Washington Street, has been using the park in recent years and approached Councilor Nestor about having regularly scheduled classes at the park.  “When designing the park, the committee envisioned it being used exactly as what Jeff had proposed” said Nestor “ I am happy he choose to bring his classes here.”

0600 Conditioning has been taking full advantage of the facilities at the newly renovated Waitts Park. While at the park, 0600 uses the adventure playground, the basketball court, and the loop walk to complete intensive early morning and evening workouts. Jeff Barriss, ”The awe inspiring view is not to be missed and is a just reward for the calories burned in the one hour class”.
