MALDEN, MA – Ward 2 School Committee member Maria Doucette is seeking re-election in the November elections. Maria has enjoyed working with Mayor Christenson and the School Committee members as well as the Malden School District. She is very pleased with her experience on the School Committee and is looking forward to another term.
As a member of the School Committee, Maria has taken on an active role. She serves on several Sub-Committees such as Policy and Technology. As part of the Technology Sub-Committee, Maria and the other members are working on a Strategic Tech Plan that will result in improvements to technology in Malden Schools. Maria is also a co-chairing the new Vocational & Career Education Sub-Committee to bring vocational education back into the Malden School System. In addition, Maria is the School Committee Liaison to Malden Special Education Parents Advisory Council (SEPAC).
Maria feels that combining her experience on the School Committee with her education and professional background, she will continue to work hard for her constituents and the Malden School District. She appreciates all the support she has received from her constituents as well as her family. Maria is looking forward to another successful two years as the Ward 2 School Committee Representative.
