Is the Malden Community Going to the Dogs?

I think that we may be throwing our community to the dogs, when the city makes it a priority to install dog parks at the same time they are fighting  vehemently against making the Oak Grove Community Building up to code and accessible for everyone in the community.  I am an animal lover and I have spent many hours hiking with my dogs in the Middlesex Fells.  So my dogs have not suffered in the least, but I have known many people within the community who would have loved to safely access the Oak Grove Community Building and could not participate because of lack of accessibility.  The stairs and walkway are unsafe.  If a homeowner did this they would be forced to tear them down.  A vertical lift is also needed in the building.   I would like to know your thoughts on this matter.  Thanks.  Oh by the way, Jim Nestor and Mayor Christenson currently have $80,000. from meals tax money to be used for repairs of this building.  What kind of repairs do you think should be done on this building?
