DUMPING AT SALVATION ARMY

In the past week, The Salvation Army Corps Community Center at 213 Main St in Malden has been inundated with bags of "donations", which clearly are TRASH.

Bags of household garbage, ripped up carpet and padding, broken toys and more have been left outside of our office.  This is in addition to the many bags of "usable" items that are left out there, but oftentimes destroyed due to weather, folks going through them and animals.

When bags of trash are left behind, we need to use City of Malden trash bags to get rid of it...our trash doesn't get picked up for free.

We are desperately asking for the publics help in this.  If you have a donation that is USABLE, please bring it to The Salvation Army on Route 1 South (between the 99 Restaurant and Bob's Discount Furniture), they will be happy to take your USABLE DONATION, which then we go to help fund the program on Route 1.  If you are unable to get to the Route 1 location, please come to us during our normal business hours (Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm).  CALL us at 781-324-1970 and we can try to work something out for a drop-off of clothing and small household items at our 213 Main St location.

The Salvation Army appreciates the support of the community with usable donations to be passed on to the store on Route 1, however the pictures below, clearly do not represent usable donations.

PLEASE HELP US!  We are here to serve the community, but not a dumping ground for trash.

Thank you for your help...God bless you!
