Catherine Bordonaro Ward 7 School Committee Candidate

Candidate Announcement
For Attorney Catherine Bordonaro

I am pleased to announce my official certification to appear on the upcoming electoral ballot for School Committee Member in Ward 7. I was born and raised in Malden and currently reside in the same household. Like many of your children and grandchildren, I attended the Malden school system from preschool, starting out at Belmont Elementary and then moving up to Malden Middle while it was still connected to the Malden High School. During my high school years, I enjoyed sharing a leadership role as a team player in extracurricular activities such as basketball, soccer, track, and choir. After graduating in 2002, I pursued my college education at Salem State University, earning my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Law. It was there that I realized I wanted to become an attorney, and was excited when I was accepted to the Massachusetts School of Law. With hard work and dedication, I passed the Bar Exam and fulfilled my dream of becoming an Attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I know I would never be where I am today without the help and support of my family and many of the great teachers in the Malden school system. Because of my upbringing and my educational experiences, I truly recognize the importance of a solid curriculum for our children. I am so proud of my Malden heritage, and now I feel compelled to return the favor and dedicate my knowledge and effort towards making the Malden school system an even stronger learning institution. With my contributions, I am confident that I can assist the School Committee members work through the day to day issues that arise, and prove that I am here to make a positive impact. In the upcoming months, I am looking forward to meeting all of my Ward 7 neighbors as well as others involved in the Malden school system. Please consider me as your candidate of choice on the Ward 7 ballot in this November's election.
