Malden High School Football Team Takes on Malden Catholic Friday Night

Here are five things to know on Friday, Sept. 27 in Malden:

1. The Malden High School (1-1) football teams takes on Malden Catholic High (0-2) at 7 p.m. Friday at MacDonald Stadium, according to the Max Preps website.

2. It is expected to be sunny on Friday in Malden, with temperatures peaking in the upper 60s before dropping to an overnight low in the upper 40s.

3. In case you missed it, a Malden man who fell onto the tracks at North Station was saved by a couple of good samaritans Wednesday night.

4. Mayor Gary Christenson and Superintendent David DeRuosi will unveil a city-wide early learning reading challenge using smart phones, tablets and computers that will be made available to every family within the Malden urban zip code during a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the City Council Chamber at Malden Government Center.
