Malden High Football Team to Play Everett in North Division I Quarterfinals

Here are five things to know for Friday, Nov. 1 in the Malden area:

1. The no. 8 ranked Malden High School (4-3 overall, 2-1 league) football team plays at top ranked Everett High (6-1 overall, 4-0 league) at 7 p.m. Friday in the North Division I quarterfinals, according to the MaxPreps website.

2. Malden Public Library will be hosting their Creative Drama program from 4-5 p.m. Friday in the Program Room, according to the library website.

3. It is expected to be cloudy, with showers Friday morning and temperatures peaking in the mid-70s during the day, and partly cloudy with overnight lows in the low 50s.

4. The Kappy's Fine Wine & Spirits location at 746 Main St. is hosting a tasting event from 4-7 p.m. Friday, according to the store's Facebook page. Visitors can try Starborough and DaVinci wines.
