Batter Up: Malden Girls Youth Softball Registration Night is Tuesday

Here are five thing to know for Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Malden:

1. Malden Girls Youth Softball, which is for ages 5-17, is expected to hold registration from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Salemwood School Field House, according to an event posting on Malden Patch.

2. The Malden Traffic Commission meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 421 at Government Center, according to a meeting posting on the city website.

3.  Song & Rhyme Time is scheduled for 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Children's Room at Malden Public Library, according to the events calendar on the library website.

4. Snow is in the forecast for Tuesday and the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that will be in effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 1 p.m. Wednesday.

5. In case you missed it, Everett-based On Point Dance Academy planned to release black and teal balloons with messages written on them to honor their former dancer Julia Vanella, a Malden High School student killed in a two-vehicle collision in New Hampshire in January.
