Start your Friday night with a stop by the MATV Gallery to view the urban-edged exhibit "Acoma: Works 1999 - 2012." It's a great collection of work by Alvin "Acoma" Colon, a Boston-based artist, who now runs Paris Street Studios in Everett, a new gallery and performance space. Check out the artwork, enjoy refreshments and music by DJ Nomadik, and view a short video featuring the artist and his work. The exhibit features many of his portrait images of famous people in the art and music world and includes his newest three-dimensional self-portrait. For more information, visit www.matv.org. The MATV Gallery is located at 145 Pleasant St. in Malden and is handicapped accessible. The exhibit runs from 6:30 - 8:00pm (entrance time). You can receive MATV Gallery validation for parking at any of the local parking garages.
