DESCRIPTION:Malden Reads Heads South of the BorderCommunity Dinner at Val
 le Restaurant on April 10\nThe fifth in our series of community dinners 
 explores the cuisine of Mexico at Valle Restaurant\, located at 115 Exch
 ange St in Malden.&nbsp\; The dinner will take place on Tuesday\, April 
 10 at 7:00pm. The cost is $13 and does not include tax\, tip\, or bevera
 ges other than that noted below. \nMexican native Emelina Flores owns an
 d manages Valle.&nbsp\; Chef Walter Canales describes Valle as a Mexican
  Grill\, with some influences from Central America (Canales himself is S
 alvadoran).&nbsp\; The cuisine of Mexico is highly refined\, reflecting 
 the cooking of the Native Americans who inhabited Mexico before the Span
 ish colonization\, and the Spanish influences brought over by the conqui
 stadores\, coupled with the bounty of local product.&nbsp\; Mexican cuis
 ine boasts many highly original regional cuisines\, and such complex and
  glorious sauces as Mole\, a specialty of Oaxaca. The tasting menu featu
 red at this dinner\, on Tuesday April 10 at 7:00\, will focus on classic
  Northern Mexican dishes.\nThe meal will start with the Chef's fresh tor
 tilla chips served with housemade salsa.&nbsp\; The next course will be 
 a vegetable taco with fresh guacamole and pico de gallo\, followed by a 
 Mexican &ldquo\;surf and turf&rdquo\; of marinated\, grilled steak and s
 hrimp (carne e camerones)\, served with beans and Mexican rice.&nbsp\; T
 he meal will include orchata\, a Mexican/Central American beverage.\nTo
