More About Beebe School
The Beebe Elementary School has a kindergarten through eighth grade curriculum. This school has a special focus and adheres to its motto, "Building a Healthy Environment Child by Child." It accomplishes this by creating "a community of environmentally aware learners and future citizens who have respect for themselves, and for the environment and community in which they live." By working in partnership with its surrounding community students are able to study local environmental and health issues within an integrated, hands-on unit of study.
This specialized educational curriculum is evident by the butterfly garden that is adjacent to the school. The faculty utilizes all-natural environments in the community as an outdoor classroom. It is not uncommon to find a group of students at Fellsmore Park. There are often guest speakers and lessons from Zoo New England, the Center for Environmental Education at Antioch New England, and the YMCA Earth Service Corps. Beebe School also strongly encourages parental participation. Contact Beebe School for enrollment information.
