"Gran Torino" (2008) directed and starring Clint Eastwood
This is one of a series of thoughtfully selected films in a variety of styles that explore themes of refugees, immigrants, and community.
Clint Eastwood’s film about the clashes that arise when Hmong immigrants move into a white working-class neighborhood as shown from both perspectives.
Co-sponsored by the City of Malden and Malden Reads
Doors open at 6:30pm. Refreshments served. Film starts at 7:00. The film will be followed by a discussion, led by Eda Daniel.

More About John and Christina Markey Malden Senior Community Center
This senior center, previously in the basement of City Hall, provides Malden's older citizens with a place to go for activities, socializing and structured events. This new center, opened in 2009, houses a cafeteria, auditorium and courtyard.
