Welcome back, Patch Blogger!
Well, it looks like Maldonians keep their friends close and their family recipes closer. No one wanted to volunteer their favorite Passover or Easter recipes for this week’s Patch Picks. We don’t want to leave you empty-handed, however. You can always check allrecipes.com for fresh ideas. Patch Regional Editor (and Malden resident) Mark Micheli knows his way around a kitchen as well, and shares his favorites recipes on his blog, rootsliving.com. And of course, there's always the great recipes Kate Sedan shares with us every week in her Simmer and Baste column. But we promised holiday recipes…

Malden may not be known regionally for its boutiques, but the small, independent stores are here, and several have fans.
