Mystic Valley Track Stars Headed to All-State Meet

For the first time in school history Mystic Valley will be sending members of its spring track team to the All-State meet on Saturday, June 2, at Fitchburg State College. The boys 4x100 Meter Relay team of James Tran, Giuseppe Iacovone, Calvin Phung, and Zhiye Liang and long jumper James Tran earned the trip by placing in the top 4 in their events at the Eastern Division 4 Regional Championship. James jumped 21’ 02” and the relay ran their race in 45.35.

The team had several other impressive outings including: Ricky Yu who finished 11^th in the 400 Dash with a time of 53.01; the 4x400 Relay team (Ricky Yu, Jonathan Paul, Zach Kelso, Pat McPherson) came in 16^th ; Giuseppe Iacovone came in 10^th in the Long Jump (19’ 10.75”); Kayla Mei finished 19^th in the 100 Dash (13.86); Kayla Mei finished 14^th in the 200 Dash (28.02) and Kathryn McPherson finished 20^th in the 400M Hurdles (75.38).
