Greetings everyone,

We've been having a great time here at the Summer Fun Club. We have lots of pictures and lots of happy children. We have been doing a lot of things in the past couple of weeks.

Everyone, including the Mayor's Summer Youth staff tie-dyed shirts last week. This was a great experience especially since no one had ever done this before. As you may recall there was a challenge put out to the kids for helping to increase the number of kids in attendance. It has become known as "Pie In The Face Day." LT had to take a few pies in the face due to some of the kids inviting friends to Summer Fun Club. LT didn't end up having to shave his head (Captain was happy about that).

Today we're going to The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Dorchester. It is a gigantic community center which includes a gym, rock wall, water park, basketball courts, child care, elliptical machines and stationary bikes room, a chapel, a prayer room and lots of other things. Tomorrow we're going for a tour of MATV and may possibly be allowed to tape something.

Everyone has been having a great time and there have been lessons learned and life skills being taught. The kids have been hearing weekly Bible stories and have been excited about actingthem out and also memorizing different memory verses that will be helpful to them as they mature.
