Team Gone Fishin' Raises Funds for ALS.   

In 2001, my father succumbed to Lou Gehrig's Disease, also know as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Like several Malden families who have also lost family members to this disease, we continue to walk each year as a way to remember my dad.  We also walk to continue awareness and to support research for a disease which currently offers few treatments and no opportunity for a cure.  
While new discoveries are being made, there is much work to be done.  In addition to research, there are family support groups, clinics, and facilities to fund which support individuals and their families as they take on and make their way through the journey of this disease.
