Leader of Leader Awards

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School Key Club advisor Dawn Wood was recently named the 2012 George R. Whitney Leader of Leaders. This prestigious and honorable award, presented at the annual New England District of Key Clubs Convention in front of a crowd of over 1,000 Key Club members, is given each year to one adult in New England who demonstrates diligence, determination, and devotion.

Ms. Wood is an outgoing and determined advisor who has guided the club for numerous years. She has stepped up as a leader this past year to help the club reach its greatest success. Ms. Wood has worked with the club, the club board, and the school to carry out several fundraisers and projects. This includes walks, car washes, a blanket making event, Pastapalooza night, and more. Her willpower to see these events happen, and happen smoothly, have made her a strong leader within our club and district. She is well deserving of the award and has inspired the Mystic Valley Key Club and all New England Key Club members.
