Girls Soccer Knocked Out of Tourney

The Mystic Valley girls’ soccer team was knocked out of the MIAA Tourney Saturday night by Weston. Weston went on to win the Regional Championship on Monday. They outscored their opponents 21-1 in the tournament including their 8-0 win over Mystic Valley.

The Eagles got behind early when Weston scored on an unstoppable kick that sailed far above their goalie’s head and into the net. The Eagles were never able to mount any serious offensive pressure against the bigger and faster Weston team.

Although it came to a disappointing end the girls had a fantastic season finishing the year 13-2-3.
