Isaac Coelho, a Malden Catholic senior from Malden, has been recognized by the Comcast Foundation for his commitment to community service, academic achievement, and demonstrated leadership.  The scholarship aims at recognizing the efforts of young people who are making a difference in their communities, and preparing them to become future leaders.  Coelho will receive a one-time grant of $1,000. 

            During his time at Malden Catholic, Coelho maintained an average of 94 while swimming, playing baseball, and up until last year playing soccer.  He is also involved with the Spanish club.  Coelho hopes to major in engineering at Northeastern, Boston University, or Worcester Polytechnic Institute next fall.

            Malden Catholic is extremely proud of all their students’ accomplishments in and out of the classroom.  Congratulations to Isaac for this achievement.
