Welcome aboard!

Hello, I am Eric Robitaille (or as I am loving referred to at the local pub, "The Magic Guy"). If you are curious how to pronounce my last name, the title "Eric Robitaille the Magic Guy" rhymes. So rhyme "guy" with my last name and there you have it - tada!

I will be your captain of sorts aboard this ship. This is the first of hopefully many, many posts and stories relating to my magic events, encounters, shows and even just some daily observations from my life.

Since every day is different and no two magic shows are ever the same - thanks to: hecklers, "uncle Charlies", drunk spectators/participants, those wonderful children that have to touch everything on my table and whose parents never seem to be around to stop them while I'm performing and the endless other folks encountered - I should easily have something new to share with you on a bi-weekly basis.

If you don't know some of the people I just mentioned, you must not be in the "performing" sector of the work world. Fear not, for you won't have to wonder too long because they will all be described from my own personal encounters as our journey together goes on. (For those of you who do know some or all of the above mentioned list, I feel for you).

I am also hoping to share some of those, "other stories", the ones that truly seem life changing or at the least, life-affirming, and - pardon the term - magical! As in the amazement that I often feel while watching the amazement of someone else while I am performing for them.

So shut your office door (or turn your monitor away from the cubicle opening so the boss doesn't see what you're reading) and enjoy your new, "Magic Mondays". And if you don't enjoy what I have to say, at least you can complain to your co-workers about my postings during lunch. Isn't that what everyone does in the break room anyways, complain about everything and everyone else?

Yes, I realize that today is Thursday, not Monday, but from here on out, the postings will be published on Mondays!
