I blinked and July is almost over.  My family (AL and UJ) from AZ came in about two weeks ago.  Our days and nights have been blessed by the best weather.  Much of our time has been spent outside. My son did get the game gene from my side of the family (thankfully!).  We've played more board and card games in one week than most do in a year.  DH gets up and asks what we will be playing. He's addicted to Old Maid and Rummy.  He can't wait to teach UJ Khet.  (look it up! buy it!)

My Aunt and Uncle spent over a week touring parts of New England that I've yet to discover.  They ventured to VT, NH and ME.  The stories of each place are fabulous with one common thread..."everyone was so nice and welcoming."  How nice!  In a time when it's easy to ignore a stranger or not be so kind when someone asks for directions, the opposite has happened.  Kindess warms the heart.

I did find the time to bake two cakes, one for a school mate of DH and the other for my favorite Aunt in the world.  :)

Beach days coming up.  Then we must brace ourselves for the sad departure.  It will be hard to say good bye.  And, that means Summer is coming to an end...oh so fast but it has been oh so fun.
