YOUR TURN: Malden's Haunted Places?

Where do you think the most haunted spots in Malden are? Have you ever seen a ghost in the city?

It's Halloween season, and that means lots of ghost stories.

Every town has its local ghost stories. Tales of people who died long ago and supposedly linger around town unable or unwilling to move on.

So we're wondering what the most haunted spot in Malden might be, if there were ghosts in our town. Holy Cross Cemetery? The Middlesex Fells?

What do you think? Have you ever encountered something spooker-natural in Malden? Is there a place in town you'd think is more likely to be haunted than others?

Share your harrowing tales with your neighbors by leaving a comment below.

If my memory is correct in the 70's there were sitings at the old Bellrock Cemetary. I remember it was news worthy and drew people to the Bellrock Cemetary.

Is that true David? Wow. I'd love to find out more about that as we near Halloween.

Really? You can't keep this BS contained to one of the easily avoidable political threads? Come on...

I remember it was my first year living in Malden. It was late October. I was walking up the sidewalk on Forest St, next to the stone wall along the cemetery. It was right after Daylight Saving had ended so it was my first walk home in the dark. As I was walking alone with thoughts with the last leaves of the season crunching under my feet, I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I spun my head and looked over the wall and into the graveyard. Scattered among the gravestones were small, glowing white orbs, some bright, some dim, hovering just above the ground yet somehow, perfectly still.
I quickly crossed the street and raced home.
The next morning, in the daylight, I retraced my path and I cautiously glanced over the wall...

Evidently, putting those stupid solar path lights in front of graves stones is a thing people do now.

Yes Cris it was about 73'74' and there were people coming from all over. I know my son Karl had had captured some photo's in the Salem Cemetary which is posted in the wiki. After his visual he went to Charolette, North Carolina where he has 3 School of Rock schools and hasnt been back since. LOL Im not kidding. Medford Street and Belrock Street is the Cemetary. Some stones dating back to the early 1600's.

How about we try to have a single story on here where somebody doesn't throw political leanings into the mix? It's nothing to do with "political correctness" and plenty to do with not needing politics interjected into every comment section on here.

I lived in a house on Washington Street that definitely had some negative energy. It wasn't just me who felt it, my sister, as well as several friends, knew something was there as well. Funny, too, that house burned down in 2008. They've rebuilt, and the house there now is unrecognizable to what was there before, but I still wonder. The fire started in the attic, which is where a lot of the activity centered.

If it is the house I am thinking of (near Oak Grove Center) - I would have to say the residents most likely contributed to all of that "negative energy" since there were people who were living in the attic. There were also wires being strung out of the 2nd floor window up through the 3rd floor. Needless to say neighbors were not surprised when the house burned down.
