Warrant Issued for Saturday Shooting Suspect

Police are looking for Daniel Rossetti, 20, of Medford, who updated his Facebook status to read "f___ the police" hours after the shooting near Ryan's Family Amusements.

Daniel Rossetti, 20, of Medford, is now officially sought on a single charge of attempted murder, Malden Police Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb confirmed Sunday.

“This warrant is the result of an ongoing investigation,” he said.

He encouraged any witnesses to either shooting to come forward with information that may help solve the case by calling the Malden Detectives Unit at 781-397-7181. 

No arrests have yet been made in Saturday's other shooting, .

 

The suspect

It is not Rossetti's first brush with the law.

In 2011, he was reportedly arrested and charged with larceny over $250, receiving stolen property, night time breaking and entering into a boat, possession of burglarious equipment and destruction of property in Medford.

Prior to that, Rossetti was arrested for over a dispute at the drive-thru window.

The status of those charges were not immediately clear Sunday night. 

Rossetti also took to Facebook after Saturday's shooting, asking a friend to “Call me asap” about 45 minutes later.

The latest status update? “f--- the police,” published a couple hours later.
