Sunny Skies, An Open Mic Showcase and More

5 things you need to know today, Monday, Feb. 6.

 

1. Warmer, sunny: Monday morning will be sunny with highs in the lower 50s. Southwest winds 10-to-15 miles per hour will be accentuated with gusts up to 30. Evening lows will dip toward the bottom 30s.

2. Fancy a film, guvnah?: The John and Christina Markey Malden Senior Community Center will host it's Movie Monday event - including popcorn and a drink - at 1 p.m.

This week's movie will be “The Big Year” staring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson. Rated PG.

3. Need help feeding your family, or yourself?: The Salvation Army is providing dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Monday at it's 213-219 Main St. location to anyone in need. The group is also looking for volunteers – if interested, call (781) 324-1970.

4. Bingo!: The Senior Center plays host to Bingo at 1 p.m. Monday. 

5. Got talent?: Head over to Open Mic Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Monday night in the Dockside Restaurant at Riverview – all forms of expression, including comedians, hip-hop artists, singers poets and more.
