Mourners See Comforting Sign in Photograph
Student photographers capture a sign from beyond - or, at the very least, a strange coincidence - during departed teacher Paul "Mr. Fam" Famiglietti's candlelight vigil Saturday.
Students walking by the Family Dental office near Malden High School snapped this photograph as they returned to an impromptu memorial for Paul “Mr. Fam” Famiglietti Saturday night.
Juniors Will Lombard and Hannah Calderone were coming back from buying candles at Walgreens when they saw the sign - with the "I" "L" "Y" in "Family" turned off, spelling "Fam" - which Lombard called “more than a coincidence.”
To top it off, the pair said a motorcycle drove by behind them as they took the picture.
Famiglietti, known by all as "Mr. Fam," died during a motorcycle accident on Route 2 near Westminster Saturday, and was well-known as a biker to his students, even sporting a leather biker jacket signed by hundreds of graduating seniors.
“I think this was him telling us he was with us,” Lombard said. “His spirit will forever be roaming the halls of Malden High School.”
“It was super weird,” Calderone agreed. “It was a sign.”

It certainly seems to be a weird set of circumstances. Perhaps the kids are correct; maybe it WAS a sign...
