Snow Expected Wednesday
The National Weather Service says the morning commute should be affected.
Winter's timeout ends Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for Central Mass., Western Mass. and "Northeast Massachusetts away from the immediate coast."
Malden's forecast is for 1-3 inches of snow during the day on Wednesday, with a high near 36.
The January thaw is over. Temperatures in the 40s and 50s, approaching 60 some days, were recorded for much of the past week.
The snow should slow the Wednesday morning commute, the weather service said.

The streets in this city are an absolute joke. 8:15am and these streets are as bad as I can remember for only 2 inches of snow. The police have been screaming for sanders for an hour now. Funny how every other city I have been in this morning the roads are down to pavement. Unexcusable for the roads to be in this shape. The DPW had ample warning that this was going to hit just before the morning rush hour. But then again the Mayor probably ordered them not to hit the streets early to save a buck for his city hall project. What a disgrace.

as of 830, Sylvan street, a school road, had not been sanded, a bus hit a car and shut down the road as a result. Surrounding streets, including Cherry, which is pretty steep, had not been touched. A total disgrace, and a danger to our children.

The overall condition of the city was a disgrace for the amount of snow there was. Sorry guy's in the DPW. I understand you can't hit the streets until your told. This is a reflection on the city, not the DPW workers.

Funny how when there is a weekend storm, which results in overtime or double pay, for even just a dusting, the plows and salt trucks are up and down the street several times during and after the storm...Today, not a single truck-not even in the areas of the schools... hmmmm....
