Power Outage Hits Davis, Porter, Teele Squares Memorial Day Evening: Residents in West Somerville lost power for about an hour around 9 p.m. Monday. It was the evening of Memorial Day, the outage hit in the midst of the first game of the Boston Celtics' Easter Conference Final against the Miami Heat. NSTAR attributed the outage to damaged high voltage equipment. 

SWAT Grabs Drugs, Sex Toys From Cambridge Street Home: Police last week broke up what they believed to be a Charlestown drug and prostitution ring at a Section 8 home on Cambridge Street on the Somerville border when officers stormed into the house and seized drugs and sex toys. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office announced the charges Friday and all six arrested suspects faced a judge for arraignment the same day. 

Redistricting Proposed for Winchester Schools: Winchester Superintendent William McAlduff has presented a recommendation for redistricting that has drawn the ire of some parents. The plan calls for four major areas of students changing districts to ease increasing enrollment in Winchester.

Melrose Mayor to DCR: Stop One-Way Road Trial: In a letter to the DCR, Melrose Mayor Rob Dolan has asked the state's Department of Conservation and Recreation to end debate over possibly changing a portion of Ravine Road in Melrose to a one-way.
