YOUR TURN: Who Won Last Night's Debate?
President Obama and former Governor Romney tackled foreign policy in the final debate. Who do you think had a better vision of American power overseas?
President Barack Obama and former Governor Mitt Romney met for a final debate Monday night, spending 90 minutes focused on foreign policy. The Tampa debate is the last of this election cycle.
Who do you think won the debate? Did one candidate put forward a better vision of America's role in the world, or did you find the exchange less than useful?
And after three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate, did you hear anything that cemented your choice or changed your mind?

boo hoo. The guy knows how to manage money and is way more mature and presidential acting then our current PRESIDENT!!!! Our biggest problem right now is not foreign policy, its the economy... That's what Mitt Romney is good at... The Economy.. Mitt Romney may not have won last night, but he'll win in the end...
P.S. Flip Flopping is called acting like a politician every single politician does it. You have your blinders on for Obama so you don't realize he does it as much.

Was anyone else surprised that global warming didn't come up in this debate? From what I read it was the first time in several years the topic was omitted from moderator questions.

I thought Romney was 'rich', but after watching the debate I can only feel sorry for 'poor' Romney. Romney got Owned. I used to fear Romney would be a war monger like Bush but now looking at his confused and dazed look and flip flopping I am scared he might be worse and end up attacking the wrong country.

Blinking was all he could do to keep from smacking Romney like a red headed step child who keeps telling lies. Romney has repeatedly said one thing on the campaign trail and then another when pressed about it. I'm not saying obama is perfect but for a guy who continually has to fight the filibuster right in Congress I don't think he has done to bad the last 4 yrs. (Actually first 2 yrs.)

The debate was weird... Romney was obviously trying to take the high road and draw out the MANIC Obama so that he, Romney appeared more even tempered and presidential. That worked to a point, but I would have liked to have seen him smack Obama down more when Obama told his continuous barrage of lies... Obama seemed to be pleading with his eyes on several occasions for the moderator to step in and help him like Candy Crowley did, but Bob Schieffer, to his credit, was not drawn in despite his loyalty to far-left causes. Romney also steered clear of being ambushed by Obama's fallacies of the timeline of events in Bengazi, Libya, as the media had prepared yet another fabricated story the night before to explain why Obama still has not to this day called Bengazi attack specifically a terrorist attack.
Overall it was a draw with a slight Romney edge for being the candidate and not the incumbent who already had 4 years to do something and played golf instead.

Raj, in regards to Bob Schieffer, you are right. I got sick of the CBS nightly news years ago after watching Mr. Schieffer continuously editorialize the news. He does the same thing on CBS's Face The Nation. I read a while ago that Mr. Schieffer was coached by management at CBS about is editorializing.

Many times it appeared that Obama was struggling to convince people that he would be the better Commander in Chief, when he has already had 4 miserable years of failed policies and could not resist spiking the football on Bin Laden again, which will only continue to strengthen Al Qaeda's resolve to destroy American interests. Never mind some obscure video inciting the terrorists, every time Democrats at the convention and Obama/Biden mention killing Bin Laden or Khadafi, terrorists around the world, who Obama has failed to keep in check, plot more ways to harm America, its people, and its interests. This debate will do nothing to stop the Romney surge, lets just hope Romney peaks in time to edge Obama into retirement.

Raj, I remember when Bush Sr. was campaigning against Clinton. The economy at that time was in tough shape, and all Bush Sr. kept talking about was our 'victory' in Desert Storm. For my money, during that war, we should have kept marching into Baghdad, and taken out all of Hussien's chronies. Clinton's people were smart, and campaigned on the jobless rate and the economy, JUST like Romney is doing now. This race is Romney's for the taking. Last night, Obama said "I spoke to a young woman, who is 4 years old" in reference to getting closure for the little girl's family over 911. I get the meaning, but Bin Laden was but one man.
Michael Victor

Bottom line Obama won by a slight margin via his ability to talk. But there is no way to seriously make the argument that we are in a better position in our place in the World. China is stronger and building air craft carriers, North Korea is a disaster for us, and the middle east is blowing up. Libya, Egypt (we backed the muslim brotherhood), Yemen, Syria coming apart, and Turkey bombing Syria. Iran has made serious progress on getting a nuclear bomb and no serious person debates that point. Afhganastan is a quagmire and Pakistan is now a disaster. Israel our only ally over there we hung out to dry. Europe is coming apart economically and we are right behind in terms of debt which means from a military standpoint we are up against it in keeping strong. As for at home, More debt, stagnant economy, millions unemployed or half employed, avg family income down nearly 4500 and healthcare continuing to skyrocket. Are we better off than four years ago, and do you believe President Obama knows what he is doing. That is what people have to decide. Clearly Romney has shown he is Presidential the question is do you take a chance and go for something new or stick with what is not working because you like the guy.

Not to be a knit-picker, Michael Victor, but you remarked "Iran has made serious progress on getting a nuclear bomb and no serious person debates that point." I watched that debate last night, and I could have sworn both Romney and Obama discussed it. As a matter of fact, Romney said over and over "Iran is 4 years closer to a nuclear weapon." So I'm scratching my head here, trying to figure out what debate you watched.

I like the guy and voted for the guy. But can't pull that trigger again because he is just not getting the job done. Look at History. Herbert Hoover took office in 1929 and the economy tanked. Did he blame Calvin Coolidge from four years before? I am totally sick of hearing about Bush this and that. So what it was four years ago and there is no plan. I bought it but I do now believe I made a mistake and John McCain would have done a better job both home and abroad as he certainly has been one to be able to get along with people from the other side. Romney did show that in MA. The President has not. Its time for a change. It may work it may not but we have got to try something new and I do believe Romney is more likely to get this economy going and in the end that is what feeds everything else.

Angry, petulant, and desperate is NOT presidential... Romney pretty much turned the other cheek, stayed above the nonsense, and delivered his ideas... I like Romney's calm confidence... That's what will deliver the right decisions when the next Benghazi goes down... Speaking of Benghazi, is Obama still stonewalling?

I saw Obama yesterday claiming the new job numbers are proof that his policies are working and that we are in an economic recovery... Fact is, that is not the truth, or even close to the truth...
First, the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.9% and the year-to-date monthly average of 157,000 payroll jobs is barely enough to keep up with population growth -- much less make up for the 8 million jobs lost during the Great Recession.
Second, the so-called real unemployment rate (U6) remains elevated at 14.6%, albeit down from 14.7% the prior month. Similarly, the labor participation rate is at 63.8%, up from its multi-decade low but still incredibly weak.
Third, average hourly earnings fell a penny in October and average hours worked fell to 34.4 from 34.5 in September.
Stagnant wages means "we're not generating income," Reinhart says. "That's a problem in terms of the durability of an economic expansion, which is usually fueled by consumption. To get consumption you've got to generate income."
Also, just look at your checkbook. We are paying a lot more for everything now than we did in 2008. The price of gas has doubled. At the same time, wages have gone down, and that's if you're lucky to have a job.
In 2008, 25 banks went out of business. In 2012, 48 banks have gone out of business. Almost double the amount. Does that sound like recovery to you? Don't believe the Obama lies!!

Myth Romney and Lyin' Ryan are a joke and they can't win. In fact, think about evertything you posted above and tell me what that says about the image Romney and Ryan have given to the voters. They can't defeat the President even with all the numbers you mentioned. Maybe that's because those numbers were so much worse when the President took office. Voters haven't forgotten the fact that Bush was the presient who got us in this mess.
