I vote Gary Christenson,,, he is truly the best candidate for the job... Time and time again, he has proven himself to this city... I have never seen in my day, a candidate more out in public, more visable, getting involved in community organizations, wanting to find ways to make our city even better. Rolling up his sleeves and getting down and dirty....Is there a better choice than the one who has lived in this city all his life? Or one who has recently moved back?

How much money has Gary paid the Patch for advertising? Of course he is the leader in this poll! Funny how he didn't answer the hard questions many submitted last Friday nite on his co-sponsored Q&A! Good luck to Malden if he is elected. We will get more of the same! DEB FALLON FOR THE CHANGE WE NEED NOW!!!

Oh, yes, Chris I am serious. I know for a fact several questions were submitted to Gary and he did not answer them. There were several times during the Q&A there was time for him to get to them. Funny how someone named "Annie" asked the question about the MFD and his response was to make his first call to the ff's! He doesn't care about them and has shown his disrespect to them by voting to turn back the grants made available to our city--what other city does that??? Hopefully the citizens of this city will turn out tomorrow and take back our city from the amigos.
DEB FALLON FOR THE CHANGE WE NEED NOW!!!

I was referring to your suggestion that Gary's ads would somehow have any sway over the poll's results.

While I agree that Gary took a lot of softball questions and didn't answer some tough ones (including a few I asked); at least HE took part in the Q&A session, unlike Deb Fallon who was invited but did not respond! I still am on the fence as I don't like some of what Christenson has as his priorities, but he at least makes himself available.

True Maldonians have been fleeing this city for the last 16 years, there are those that want to get out but cant for one reason or another, those that can get out and are trying to sell and those who have GONE! Just look at the poll book, or the phone book if want to see the real mass exodus that has been going on... dont be fooled by the Kool aid drinking folk......If you want more of the same then you'll vote for Gary, if you really want CHANGE, and a future worth sticking around for then you'll vote for Deb Fallon, and the choice is clear...VOTE FOR DEB FALLON!

Gee, John Q. And what exactly makes someone a "True Maldonian?" Are you saying someone who has lived here for 5 years instead of 24 years, like I have isn't a Maldonian? Or matters less?

Gary brings an element of chrony-malfeasance as Deb is just a non-profit running community organizer who is riding the coat-tails of the firefighters.
How does either benefit Malden?

Packing our major problem off to Winchester should be the start of something better for this city, no matter who is elected Mayor. Let's hope the new Mayor is more concerned with problems IN the city, and taking care that long time residents needs are being met, rather than relocating problems from major corners of the world and other city's unwanted to this city. Take care to preserve the culture that was Malden and not to let other cultures dictate how we live. I wouldn't want Malden Public Schools doing what Cambridge did today (having a Muslim holiday off)

What we are trying to do Raj is bring together all of the good that is happening in Malden, and that means being inclusive.
I am going to put you on the spot to explain what the culture of Malden is.

A vote for Deb Fallon is ridiculous. Deb has no real political experience, and her management skills came from running Portal of Hope.
Don't get me wrong Portal of Hope is a great thing. But, it is a very small entity, with a very, very small budget. She has yet to show any proof that she can handle managing a large body of people and a very large budget.
Please don't vote for Deb Fallon based upon her famous last name. In this election Gary Christenson is the only qualified candidate. Gary has my vote!

Why cant this poll be indicitive of what Malden wants and needs? I'll' leave you with this today as I head out to cast my vote for Ms Fallon- Are you happy with the way Malden has done business the past 16 years? Are you happy with the quality of life for all Maldonians the past 16 years? Is it cleaner? More crowded? less financially stable? Has major crime gone up? More burnt out, boarded up buildings, more vacant commercial properties, more empty forclosed properties, Any new business's called Malden home the last 16 years? and I dont mean lottery or dollar stores, or half way houses?? How's your water bill?, is City hall and your elected officials more accesible, willing to at least listen to your concerns? Be honest with yourself when you close the curtain, Maldens future depends on it! Deb Fallon, Your new Mayor!!!
Ella

John Q.,
you are so wrong. Gary is the answer for Malden, not someone that has not been out and proven herself. I never see her anywhere, Gary is everywhere and very accessable to everyone.Gary has proven himself over and over, to all the people of Malden not just the FF. Gary is not hanging his win on his last name or the legacy of that last name, he is the product of hard work and sacrifice and most of all, his love for the City of Malden and its residents. Gary will be your new Mayor... GO GARY!!!

Deb the lack of experience VS Gary the good ole boy hack...take your pick.
I could care less either way. Malden has been on a long decline and is now rapidly becoming Lynn.
MY POINT is that a FALLON sign in the front yard of my elderly parents house has been ripped out several times. Politics need to be decided in the voting booth, other wise things WILL get ugly fast.
