Police Release Surveillance Photos of Bank Robbery Suspect

Police say the man in his 20s may have used a gun in the robbery.

Police have released stills from surveillance footage from a at the Stoneham Savings Bank on Charles St.

The lone gunman allegedly entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. Det. Lt. Mark Gatcomb said that he suspect then brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun. 

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 20-to-30 years old, wearing a grey hoodie, a baseball hat with a sticker on the brim, blue jeans, black under armor gloves and white Nike sneakers.

He appears to have been wearing a red backpack in the footage – not green, as originally heard on police transmissions.
