The Raids map gives Malden a bad name.

It's not the map, it's the people who do it...

Yes. When you only have 45% of the calls put into this system it looks bad. Three surrounding cities laugh at this department for sweeping issues under the rug.

But we can all see who the next Chief will be. When a Capt who us respected by all should have it.

Isn't it illegal for a PD not to give the public police logs? The state house says so. So why foes the MPD always direct the ones asking to this crap system the has "glitches" all the time?

I suggest that every paper starts to print the full police logs and if they deny a resident or reporter from getting a report, a complaint should be filed. In fact more complaints should be filed for intimidation, open meeting law violations, abuse of power and so on.

Michael The raids map does more good because it makes you aware whats going on around you. Its a good thing. The only people who hate it is the Real Estate Agencies because it affects them. Back in the 60's there were tuable Police Radios you could purchase at Radio Shack and believe me they couldnt keep them on the shelves they sold so fast. People allways knew what was goin on. Turning a blind Eye and Deaf Ears is what caused all this. All were in Denial. This is a good thing Im glad its here on the Patch.

It would be good if they have all the calls on it. So we can be aware. This program is just as bad as the old failed program. I have been tracking it since it came out. It is just a failed program.

So everyone knows, raids is not Patch's. It is the cities program.

Current officers say the program is a sham. If they are saying it, then I believe it. The officers did not like the old program either.

Chris: I had to work last night and unfortunately could not make the Mayor's outdoor meeting on safety issues. Why no coverage here? Was it that much of a bust it wasn't worthy of mention? Anyone go? Or were too many questions asked without acceptable answers? How about it? What happened?

Hey Annie. He does these pretty frequently and they are often the same information for different audiences. Sometimes I go just to listen and don't write a story, but I've been busy with some behind-the-scenes changes going on at Patch this week.

Annie they are all the same. The Mayor will promote his social media sites. Give shout outs to his staff. The police rep will cone up and talk about a case that happened a year ago. Then he will say crime is not that bad.

The firemen are the ones that talk normal.

Then people (mayors friends) will ask questions about signs, flowers all things that avoid the hard questions. I once asked him about Raids and he gave me a short answer. Same thing with the cameras. Everyone knows the cameras have issues.

The meetings are as fake as some personalities in his office.

David each time the system is questioned, you get the run around. Glitches, glitches glitches. But when you talk to other cities they will tell you it is easier then a speak and spell.
