The following was provided by Salemwood Teacher Kathy Sullivan.

Kindergarten students at the Salemwood School enjoy a beautiful spring day on their new playground equipment.

The Salemwood School recently had this new tot lot installed. Over 400 students each day are able to run, play, and have fun in this space .

Beth Rosa of the Malden Redevelopment Authority and Councillor Barbara Murphy were instrumental in getting this project completed for the school and the students.

As shown in the pictures the children are certainly enjoying this wonderful space!

As a first time mom, I'm always on the look out playgrounds, events & activities for my child. Wondering if this playground is only for the Salemwood students or anyone is welcome?

I'm thrilled that the new structure is finally in place. The former one was a "death-trap" for kids, and had to be deemed "off-limits" for Salemwood students at recess. The people who made it possible to install the new play area should be applauded for all their hard work. Getting funding for such a project is an uphill battle that takes time and energy most of us can't (or won't) supply. THANK YOU to all involved.
