Northern Strand Community Trail Opens near Linden Square

The 3.1-mile path is open to walkers, bicyclists, runners and other non-motorized vehicles.

State Sen. Katherine Clark, Council Pres. Judith Bucci, Mayor Gary Christenson, and State Representatives Chris Fallon and Paul Brodeur joined other local officials at a ribbon-cutting ceremony this weekend.

Part of the Bike to the Sea project, the Northern Strand Community Trail will be a 9-mile community pathway stretching from near Route 16 in Everett through Malden, Revere and Saugus toward the Lynn waterfront.

This portion of the trail is for use by walkers, bicyclists, runners and other non-motorized means for recreation and transportation.
