New Bike Racks Slated for Malden Center

The racks, made in conjunction with cyclist advocacy group MassBike, should appear in coming months as its design is finalized.

The MassBike blog is reporting that Malden Center will receive new bi-level bike racks for commuters, based on feedback the MBTA received from residents.

The two-tiered system will allow for maximum storage of bicycles at other stations too, including Braintree, Ashmont, Davis Square, Oak Grove, and Malden Center.

The group said the MBTA had reached out for feedback on the models, and adopted proposed changes by the area cyclist advocacy group.
