Missing 10-Year-Old Found

The MBTA Transit Police said the girl went missing after boarding the 136 or 137 bus near the Melrose/Saugus line this morning.

The MBTA found a missing 10-year-old girl "safe and sound" after she went missing en route to the Oak Grove T stop around 7:30 this morning.

From Oak Grove, the girl was supposed to board the Orange Line, to the Blue Line and to a school at Beachmont.

Riders were informed of the missing child via the MBTA's "See Say" app, which is available for both Android and iPhone operating systems.

Great to see that she was found. However, I was a bit confused about the whole story, since the 136 and 137 buses do not go anywhere near the Saugus/Melrose Line. Those routes go up Main street from Malden to Melrose, Wakefield and Reading, and do not go towards Saugus.
