20 arrests in a week is more than all the other towns around combined. How many people did the police arrest for being drunk in public? I hear them bringing people in all the time on our scanner I bet there are 10 more arrests including those folks.

What is it with Malden that it attracts the criminal type? Why can't this city attract more professional and decent types of people to live and/or work here?

Because their freinds live here. Lots of pals in the Malden housing where the can take showers dump there rubbish on our dime. Also Malden is the heartbeat to get their drugs. I dont drive anymore because of seizures but I walk alot and when your walking you see more around you.

DannyBoy,
You said, “Why can't this city attract more professional and decent types of people to live and/or work here?”
Who live in those condos? There are decent people and professionals all over Malden, but the city doesn’t hire them. The city is the largest employer. But cronyism and nepotism is the name of the game here. They only hire friends and relatives, cousins and nephews and nieces of those who are politically connected. Like you said if they don’t help the decent ones be part of the city by working here or something, pretty soon, the crooks, drug addicts, prostitutes will be what remain of Malden. Those who can will leave.

Danny, I just dont see it happening unless they clean the criminal element out. That is going to need some serious work and community involvement. I also think we have a large stop snitching element that has moved to Malden.

HK who do you trust? I told a relative of a pol here in the city who was a detective and he told who told him to his palsy junkies and I ended up with a poised dog. Im not the only one on my street who turned it in either. Yup they were going to fire up Crystal Meth. This was in 1999-2000. Then the narc detective got caught himself doin a drug deal at the Old Malden Hospital Parking Lot. So other than something happening now Ill go to another agency that trusts me and I trust them. That was his Belrock Gang that did it. I dont trust no law enforcement in this city too mant Brothers Freinds and Inlaws.
