Malden Firefighters responded to a fire in a one-story, brick structure at 278 Pearl St. Monday night. 

The call came in around 9:40 p.m., and the heavy fire was reported knocked down around 10 p.m., according to scanner transmissions. 

Responders continues to extinguish minor hotspots throughout the building, with some seen on the roof of the structure.
