Fast Boats, Clear Skies and More

Five things you need to win on Wednesday.

Today is Wednesday, May 25. Here are five things you need to know:

More Sun today: If only Towel Day was last week: Yesterday’s prediction of mostly cloudy skies was delightfully incorrect, leading to a lovely, warm day. The National Weather Service reports today will be a bit cooler, with lots of Sun and highs in the upper 60’s.

Skimming the surface: On Sunday, Malden High School and Gentle Giant Rowing Club hosted crew teams from as far away as Maine. Be sure to check out our video and photos from the day’s races.

Road trip! Looking to sharpen your picture-taking skills? Head over to the senior center at 1 p.m. to catch the bus to Fellsmere Pond. Fred Swart will lead a group through the park to teach the finer points of outdoor photography.

Strap on the cuff: Memorial Day weekend is just about here, which, for most people, mean lots of time outside and exerting yourself. Before you take off for the weekend, head over the senior center and have your blood pressure checked.

High sticking: Malden High School’s Boys Lacrosse take to the fields of Pine Banks against Watertown. The game starts at 3:45 p.m..
